Kyle P. Walker is a critically-acclaimed pianist dedicated to integrating traditional Western repertoire with works by neglected global composers to address social issues. His performances have been featured on prominent media platforms such as NPR, CNN, and PBS, and he has appeared at notable venues including Carnegie Hall and The Apollo Theater. Walker has also performed at institutions like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Lied Center of Kansas, and collaborated with groups like Fort Worth Opera and Resolve to Save Lives.

He is a pianist for the innovative duo DARA + KYLE, which received the Chamber Music America “Ensemble Forward” career grant, and performs with The Harlem Chamber Players. Walker is a founding member of The Dream Unfinished, an activist orchestra that supports civil rights through music, and he has presented educational programs at institutions like NYU Steinhardt and the Brooklyn Public Library.

His recent solo project, Bach to BlackNotes, juxtaposes J.S. Bach’s works with pieces by composers addressing oppression. Walker holds degrees from Mannes College, East Carolina University, and UNC School of the Arts, and has studied with esteemed teachers including Thomas Sauer and Benjamin Hochman.

Program will include works by Bach, Chopin, Price, and others.
