Taking place on “May the Fourth” (the unofficial holiday celebrating Star Wars), Watertown Musica Viva will perform a voyage through time and outer space. Beginning on earth with Ticheli’s Earth Song, the listener will first reflect on the beauty and fragility of our planet and the urgency of preserving it. The choir’s voices will then weave together harmoniously, evoking the vast expanse of the universe. The powerful crescendos will capture the grandeur of cosmic events, while delicate, whispered passages will suggest the serene stillness of distant galaxies. Listeners will be invited to contemplate the infinite possibilities and mysteries of existence as well as to explore the afterlife and spiritual transcendence.  The voyage will conclude with Paulus’ The Road Home, as the choir sings of returning to a place of comfort and familiarity.
