Violinist Benjamin Bowman has built an international career marked by versatility, artistry, and critical acclaim.  He was appointed concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera in the 2018–2019 season by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He was Grammy-nominated in 2016 for his work with the ARC Ensemble on Chamber Works of Jerzy Fitelberg, and has performed widely across North America, Europe, and Asia. His collaborations include leading chamber groups such as the ARC Ensemble, Art of Time Ensemble, and Leondari Ensemble, and he appears on the Juno-winning album Levant and the Juno-nominated Armenian Chamber Music with the Amici Chamber Ensemble.

Bowman previously served as concertmaster of the American Ballet Theatre orchestra and is currently a member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. His performances have been broadcast internationally, and his recordings span labels including RCA Red Seal, ATMA Classique, and Innova. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Bowman is also active as a composer and arranger, with a personal interest in electronic music. His career reflects a deep commitment to both classical tradition and creative exploration.
