Pianist Christopher Davis hails from Croghan, NY, and recently earned his Doctorate of Music in Piano Performance from l’Université de Montréal, studying under Jimmy Brière and Justine Pelletier. He also holds a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from the Crane School of Music, where he studied with François Germain, and a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Business with a concentration in piano pedagogy from Crane.

Davis has performed widely in the US and Canada, participating in solo and group recitals, and has been involved in notable opera productions including Copland’s The Tender Land, which won 3rd Place in the American Prize in Opera Performance. He has competed successfully, winning second prize at the Crane Concerto Competition in 2017 with Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Piano Instructor at St. Lawrence University, teaches at Watertown Music Studio, and is a pianist at St. Stephen’s Church in Croghan. Previously, he was a Lecturer at l’Université de Montréal and a Professor of Piano at École de Musique Vincent-d’Indy in Montréal.

Program will include works by Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Liebermann.
